NEWS: Boynton Beach Library seeks artifacts and historical information about BBPD

In celebration of the Boynton Beach Police Dept.'s 90th anniversary this year, the Boynton Beach Library is creating a police department exhibit at the library. They are asking for the public's help in gathering information and artifacts about the police department’s roots.

The showcase, called “Boynton’s Finest: 90th Anniversary Tribute to the Boynton Beach Police Department” will open on June 1, 2010 and continue through the end of August. The historic archive at the library is accepting loans or permanent donations of items representing the Boynton Beach Police Department. Uniforms, mementos, equipment and other memorabilia are needed. Anyone who can supply information or artifacts about the police department history from 1920 to 2010 should call library archivist Janet DeVries at (561)742-6397 by March 1.
