2009 PBCLA Scholarship

The Palm Beach County Library Association is offering a $1000 scholarship to a student enrolled in graduate study in librarianship leading to a Masters degree or Ph.D. degree or for post-MLS study. The scholarship will be granted for graduate study in librarianship at an ALA accredited school of library or information science.

Application requirements consist of:

  • Membership in the Palm Beach County Library Association.
  • A letter of reference from a librarian or information professional.
  • A copy of the acceptance letter from the school you are attending.
  • An essay discussing “How Libraries Can Prepare for Changing Economic Conditions.” (The essay must be a 700 word formal essay, double spaced, in an 11 pt. font with end or foot noting preferred.)
