PBCLA Scholarship

The Palm Beach County Library Association awards a yearly $1000 Scholarship to a student enrolled in graduate study in librarianship leading to a Masters degree or Ph.D. degree or for post-MLS study. The scholarship will be granted for graduate study in librarianship at an ALA accredited school of library or information science. Application requirements consist of:

•  Membership in the Palm Beach County Library Association
• A letter of reference from a librarian or information professional
• A copy of the acceptance letter from the school you are attending
• An essay addressing the question, “How Can We Promote Libraries that Meet the Broad Spectrum of Society?"

The essay must be a 700 word formal essay, double spaced, in an 11 pt. font with end or foot noting preferred. The deadline for entries to be received will be posted each year.
