After two years of work, the $12 million Lassiter Rotunda in Warren Library at Palm Beach Atlantic University is complete! The Palm Beach Post reports, "At 31,000 square feet, the open-air rotunda features 235 seats, 13 study rooms and a living-room-style decor." PBA took care to preserve the historical integrity of the original structure.

Through Tuesday, November 24, the Lake Pake Public Library will accept nonperishable, unopened food donations and in return, forgive fines. PBCLA has a new youtube channel! Our Youtube debut consists of a 9 part video of our September 2009 meeting, presented by PBCC's Brian Kelley. Brian, Director of the Library Learning Resource Center (LLRC) at PBCC, discussed PBCC's Pilot Kindle Project.

Children, tweens, and teens are invited to meet three award winning authors of books for young people: Jerry Spinelli, author of Maniac Magee and Stargirl; Patrick Carman, creator of the Land of Elyon and the Atherton series, and James Patterson, author of the Maximum Ride and Daniel X series.
